Default wierd noise after hard curb check

well i hit a curb hard enough to blow out my tire and take a chunk out of my rim and now the car drives fine but when i first take off I am feeling a grinding/vibration, almost like something is rubbing, and i can hear it too but it stops once i get moving faster than 20 mph or so. it only makes the sound I'm hearing and feeling when I'm moving, if i sit still and just rev the engine i get no strange sounds. i have a b16a and i hit on the right front. i was also wondering if there is any caster adjustment because my caster looks to be off a little now that i hit the curb.
any advise or ideas would help. if you want to know more let me know.
thanks.

Well, if your caster adjustment looks really off then theres obviously a good chance that you bent something. Depending on how hard you smacked it you could have bent your strut or the actual body where the strut mounts. As for your noise it's hard to say. Does it get louder when you're turning? If so i'd tell you to to look at your axles. Even if they look good from the outside you might have trashed the trunion bearings. Also yes there is a caster adjustment. The strut rod that goes from under the radiator mount/support and goes to the lower control arm.

Thanks for the input tjchad. To answer your question no it doesnt make a difference if I turn, it almost feels like it's related to RPMs. It's really hard to describe but I thought I would try. Thanks for the info

it could be ur inner wheel bearing on the spindle. i hit a pot hole once before and blew a tire, my wheel bearing was shot and was easy to tell. Look to see if the side you hit is cambered,if so pick up a new spindle.hope it may help?

if you chunked the wheel you probably bent the hub or trashed your bearing easy way to tell is put it in the air and put it in gear running and watch your brake caliper to see if its moving back and forth at all

If it gets louder as you drive faster and sounds like a whirring noise, then it's likely your bearing. The factory manual for '88 allows 0~0.05mm of play using a dial. It's on page 12-7.
