Noise coming from strut area.

Noise coming from strut area.
When I turn I can hear a really harsh rocking noise coming from my right front strut area. I've checked my strut for leaks and everything seems A-ok. I didn't think it sounded like a spring compressing anyway. A better description of the noise might be a loud popping sound but it's NOT the axle. It happens only sporadically but often. Anyone got any good guesses??

Does the noise transfer from one side to the other. When your driving does that side make noises when you hit bumps.?

could be, it sounds sort of like a car bouncing on a bad shock but REALLY loud. (my left shock is bad and leaking so I know how a car bouncing on it's springs sounds). i've checked the strut several times this week and can't find any leakage.

You might want to check the bushings on your rack and pinon. I just got back from the dealer. My friend works there and he put it up on the lift and found that one on my rack and pinon bushings was wornout. It causes the rack to shift about a 1/4 inch and that was making the loudest clunk/ping noise. I ordered new bushings from mugen, I am going to fix it next week and I will report back with any changes.
