hello ppl im new here, i have a 93 honda civic 1.6l and i was having some trouble latley wondering if i can have some help,ok anytime when i take my foot off the gas just a little bit like to slow down it seems like my car is dead like its in neutral or something, sometime when i push the gas again it will take about 2 seconds to accelerate again and it only happens sometime but now its getting worsen, any help would be greatly appreciated.

automatic or manual transmission?

 

sounds like a problem im having could be a vacuum leak

 

Is the car starting ok?

 

could be fuel problem, possibly O2 sensor believe it or not. Why you ask O2?

The O2 can effect the way your car runs dramatically. Surprised the hell out of me

i thought that if there was an O2 dtc the ecu runs the car in closed loop?? if the O2 was bad and nothing else shouldnt it just run closed loop and waste gas a little?

 

nope, my car ran like total **** and it was just the O2 sensor

 

the o2 senser isnt even a year old, its automatic, oh yeah the weird thing is it has a hard time starting when it happens u have to gas it as soon as it turns on or it dies, and when i turn the car off for like a minute and turn it back on its fine, it weird

 

Did you ever find out what the problem was? I have a 92 civic (automatic) and sometimes when I go to accelerate it'll do the same thing. Its dangerous when I'm making left turns and there's a car coming. It'll creep forward for a second or 2 b4 it actually takes off. I've only had it for a little bit but it seems to be worse if I have the air conditioner on.
