Leaving work my car was just fine. I work in Northbend and i live in Renton. As i was two or three blocks away from home i pushed down the peddle a little more taking a turn and i felt no power as usual. And now there is a whistling sound in place of the normal Blow Off Valve sound. Anyone know what can be the problem? Already tried searching.. that failed.

I left my car at home to go eat out for a good hour or two. Wanted to see if that would help. Just took it around the block and still the same problem, whistling and air flow going idk.

 

sounds like the bov is stuck open.

 

Your boost has escaped. Check everything over. Car is running so it's still getting air/fuel. Leak is somewhere you just have to find it. Worst is if something is broken/cracked.

Alright. Thanks guys. I'll check it out in the morning. I'm new to all this. The car used to be my brothers "00Ekcoupe" and i bought it from him when i needed a first car. The only thing i've done is exterior stuff.
I'm not sure what i shall be looking when my bov is stuck so if anyone has an idea where to start or where to look please let me know.

 

I know this is kinda obvious, but check your charge pipe connection to the throttle body. When we dynoed my buddy car, charge pipe disconnected from throttle body and only built like 3 lbs. We put it back on and it built alot more.

well the bov has a little "piston" in it if you can see into it and stuck your finger down there then it's obviously stuck open, you most likely can fix it yourself

 

My BOV sticks some times. With being able to hear a whisling id say either ur BOV stuck open, or one of ur intercooler charge pipes poped lose.

 

Yup. Pipe came loose and lost the clamp. Just went to hardware store and car is same as before. Thanks guys. Learned a few things!!
