I searched a bit, couldn't really find anything related to my problem.

Here's teh deal. Thrusday nite the car was running as usual, hitting 8psi, and holding it.
Shut it down around 11, go into work, work till 7. Leave work, on my way home, I get on it, and it will only hit 4-4.5psi?

Me and my buddies decide the shitty silicon hoses running to the mani, the BOV and such were ****, and perhaps causing the problems. We replaced all the vacuum lines w/ some quality stuff, and that didn't seem to fix the problem.

I get out on the back road to see if it will hit 8psi again... nope.

Then I start getting a slight squeal, liek perhaps a belt going bad or what not. And shortyly thereafter, a faint sound of a grind almost. Like perhaps a "bearing" on one of the accessorie pullies is going bad.

So now the car will only boost 4psi, and makes the sound of the bugs of the nite, if you know what I mean. It just sounds like a bunch of bugs, a low humm if you will now?

Please help me out here. I'm getting a boost leak tester tommorow, but I'm lost as far as the sound goes. If it helps at all, it's coming from teh driver side of the engine bay. Don't know if it's teh crank pulley, or accessories pulleys.

maybe you blew the charge pipe coming off the turbo and it's rubbing up against a belt or pulley?

 

I didn't notice any pipes rubbing the belt. I'll have to check for sure.

But the noise was kind of off and on tonite, but mostly on, lol.

Like I say, the sound is on teh driver side. I don't think it's anything internal, but who the hell knows.
