Swapping a eg with an H23 from cable to hydro... is it possible?
I wanted to know before I start cutting up my new hatch for the shifter whether or not there was a way to go hydro... I was looking on hasports site and "found" this : http://hasport.com/store/index.php/a...ch/efhhcl.html but there isn't a picture and I don't even know if that is what I need to be looking for. I DO have a d-series tranny from my hatch with the linkages and can swap them if that's possible, I just need to know if this is possible or if it is really worth it.....
Cable and hydro has nothing to do with the shift linkage. H/F/K series trannys all use a cable linkage, but that has nothing to do with the cable hydro thing you keep hearing about, that refers to the clutch, All H-series transmissions as well as '92 - present civics use a hydraulic clutch. Older civics and integras used a cable clutch. If you want to run an H-series transmission you will need to cut up your floor, if you don't want to do that you can run a B-series tranny and an H2B adapter.
If you put in a B series trans, it is. It has better gear ratios and it's smaller...but if you already have a H series trans in...that $1000 for a plate and trans may or may not be worth it to you.
I know the b series trans is better, but damn thats a lot of money for a DD, lol. plus I already have the tranny and everything, I just don't want to cut up my floor board is all
well damn... Ok, is there a good how to on the cutting? Whoever did my sol swap did a SHITTY *** job, I want to make sure that I do it perfect and it's sealed as well as possible
