Default oil pan wont come off!!

92 civic ex. d series still. gfs car has leaky oil pan gasket. well ive unbolted everything and the damn pan wont come off!! never had this problem before...allll bolts are out..exhaust outta the way..its like its gorilla glued on! any ideas? torch? BFH?? ive beat the hell outta this thing

hit it with a rubber malet on all sides it should come off i had the same problem once and i did that and it fell off u wont leave dents either so have at it man.

I agree. Whack it hard on all sides with a rubber mallet. I had to beat on my D16Y7 oil pan for a while before it decided to comply.

also dont forget those stubborn 2 10mm bolts where the flywheel cover is. this would keep it on as well. as they said use a rubber mallet and wack it a couple times and it should come off.

mallet isnt working. alllll bolts off. triple checked... is there something i can do to soften the sealant thats holding the pan on? torch this **** perhaps?

are you sure that all nuts and bolts are off? its like 15-20 of them IIRC. i always use a 3lb dead blow hammer when a rubber mallet wont work

I had to pry mine a bit on my 200k+ miles engine. But make sure you don't gouge the block

The ones where the block meets the tranny are easy to miss. Just whack the pan really hard. If you want to try to pry the pan at all, find something that won't gouge...like a piece of wood or plastic.
