So the light came on lastnight on way home. Went to auto zone and it threw p0171 Running to lean. I have a d16y8

I have a vacuum leak, my car idle funny up and down i Cant find the leak is there any way to check for it i dont have money to take it to the shop :[ Please help.

Im pretty sure it's a vacuum leak had that problem before it threw a code.

Any clue's where my vacuum leak is at? sinces its saying im running to lean?

The surging idle is likely a separate problem. For that, clean the IACV, bleed the cooling system, and check the IM and TB gaskets.

P0171 - check for a clogged fuel filter or an exhaust leak.

 

yeah i had clean the iacv alot of time's... Im pretty sure it's not a exhaust leak... ima give the bleed a try..

How would i fine out if the fuel filter is clogged?

 

Replace it or measure the fuel pressure.

 

check your intake manifold gasket. had this problem before and thats what it wound up being. the other thing to do since its running lean, is simply change the fuel filter.
