Default B20 VTEC - Garrett 57 trim - E85 Dyno Tune

Tim brought us his Integra a while back for a few repairs and a tune. The first time on the dyno, his car was tuned on 93 Octane, and had a few boost controller issues. He brought the car back this week, and we installed a Blox Fuel Pressure gauge, AEM Tru Boost, removed the 93 Octane and switched over to E85.

Here is the setup:
GSR head
B20B Block
Supertech 9:1 Pistons
Eagle Rods
Stock Sleeves
Block guard
Skunk2 Intake Manifold

Bosch 1000cc Injectors
Walbro 255lph Fuel Pump
AEM Fuel Rail
AEM Fuel Filter
Weapon R FPR

Synapse Turbo Kit
Tial 48mm Wastegate
57 trim Garrett Turbo
3" Open Downpipe
Tuned on Hondata S300

The only changes to Tim's setup were the AEM boost Controller, Blox Fuel pressure gauge, and E85.

Here are the charts, tuned on E85. First is 13psi, second is 17psi, and 15psi, respectively.

The injectors were seeing really high duty cycles at 17psi, so we left the boost controller at 15psi. Tim may be adding an inline Bosch 044 pump to supply the extra fuel capacity needed for E85, and turning the boost back up.

For comparison purposes, here is Tim's chart from the last tune on 93 octane vs. the chart from the E85 tune. Both of these charts are at 15psi.

For the record, the 17psi run was when we first adjusted the boost controller. Since injector duty cycle was high, I lowered the boost setting and never made any more runs at 17psi. Also, I leaned the a/f ratio out in the tune by .5 at 17psi since it was on the richer side but didn't make another run as it was pointless to do so. It may have liked an extra degree or or two at 17psi but we'll need more wiggle room in regards to injector duty cycle before doing another run at that level to find more power.

Also, the reason for lower power on E85 on the lower rpm range is due to 3rd gear used on E85 and 4th gear used on pump gas. 4th gear makes the turbo spool faster than 3rd gear. Had the same gears been used, the power in the lower rpm would of course been higher on E85. Just thought I'd post this information for those who wonder.

E85 will definitely make more power vs 93oct pump gas if tuned properly.good job Spent.
