hey just checking if anyone knows for sure if the d16y7 has a knock sensor, i looked a 1 y7 at a scrap yard today and it did not have but a y8 one but it was broken. there is one more complete y7 there but it is unassailable to the bottom. i would like to know it has one for sure before i take the time to remove the intake manifold. thanks

 

D16Y7 engines do not have a knock sensor.

yes anyhthing non vtec normally does not have one. i believe a y5 has one too
