NSX powered MidRear Eg?
Anyone ever see any articles (in mags even?) of someone pulling this off? I tried searching but got no results. Kind of a frankendream of mine if I ever had the money to put into someone putting it together.
Nice thing is that with Hondas, nothing turns out that expensive. I figure once you figured out the geometry to make the axles fit, and had some sort of mounting setup or cradle style integrated roll cage, the hardest part would be getting used to hearing that thing scream behind you (might get kinda warm too, would need some kinda firewall). This vision came back to me the other day when I was at some hot rod show and a guy had a MR Nova with a some huge Chevy big block mounted behind his seat.
Yeah I've seen videos of the civette and that was a crazy build... guy wrecked his c5 corvette and pretty much put all the goodies from his vette into his civic hatch and that this was badass.
Nsx powered hatch would be so awesome and I think I need to change my underwear just thinking about it lol

i remember the h22 rear del sol a few years back. i guess you could use crv trailing arms and hubs and figure out a subframe and mounting with some custom axels. anythings possible. honda in honda is nice. i always dreamed bout f20c powered fr eg hatch. people already did ls1 preludes and civics. you need the money and the will to finish what you started

A shop called Mahdavi Motorsports in Georgia built an NSX powered (it was in the rear) CRX cleverly called the "CRNSX" about NINE years ago, so yes it can be done. If you Google "CRNSX" you'll find it.
During the build:

After it was done:

With boosted D, F, B, H, and K swaps netting retarded amounts of horsepower I see no point of using NSX drivetrain. Every time you break something on it it will cost more, and it's heavier, etc. If it's just to be "different" then that's no good either since it's been done almost a decade ago.

I think it was Popular Mechanics or some other magazine that I read Honda was coming out with a new NSX. It will have something like a 500hp V10.
Anyway, I found an article about it.

At that amount of power, it doesn't seem practical for a Civic unless you could get all wheel drive. And gigantic brakes would be a given.

Honda has since thrown that project out the window.
