What is that tube sticking out of the front bumper of this EG hatch. I've seen several additional photos of this car, and the right side does not have the same tube.

BTW - Does anybody have additional specs about this EG. This is one of the cleanest hatches I've seen anywhere (except of course for the champaigne with Jesus in the driver's seat).

And more pictures of this puppy would be appreciated, although this is a tech forum.

But yes that is an "exhaust tube" for the wastegate, and this hatch is super nice.

that would be the tecknik motorworks turbo b20/vtec.... very potent car. I believe that tube is an exhaust dump.... rather than having the turbo manifold route exhasut downward to the exhaust, it just dumps it to the side. thats what it looks like at least.

only it doesnt have an obvious front mount.

Ahhh, from a distance that hole looks smaller so I tought it was wastegate related but I guess its the whole exhaust. Good luck driving that on the street.

just cuz the dump is there, doesnt mean its hooked up.

this thing ran at the local track over here at the friday night street legals ran low 13's with no traction at all on a cold near-winter night.

Thats great. I would hope the wastegate piping is hooked up, or that would make for some interesting conditions under the hood. I think you might be refering to the downpipe coming directly off the turbo which often is rerouted to dump straight to the atmosphere rather than exiting through the exhaust.

I bolded becuase there was talk about its streetability.

Im saying, that dump could just be there to mate with a different manifold or something, rather than expelling the gas thought a traditional catback system.

What I meant to say is, just becuase it is there, doesnt mean hes not running a catback exhaust of any kind.
