Default What is full mark on oil dipstick?

I just purchased a 95 d15b7 coupe and it seems like it's burning oil bad. I checked the dip stick and it said it was under so I added half a quart and now it's sitting over.

Is the second dot the full line or is the little gray line on the dip stick the full line??? this car is nothing like the neon I had before it, and I'm confused like hell.

Please give me some information quick, I have a 45 minute drive to work tonight and I'm kinda worried about it.

then it's way over and it was reading under the second dot when I put half a quart in.. How worried should I be? It's storming outside so I can't go drain it out. :/

You are less than 1/2 quart overfilled. Drain the excess when the weather improves.

This information logically indicates that the engine is overfilled by less than 1/2 quart. Drive the car sensibly and drain the excess oil when the weather improves.

Okay logically perhaps, but to me it doesn't make sense to be sitting that high over the limit for half a quart.
