Del Cluster to Amber...
My cousin wants to convert his Del Sol cluster to amber but he does not want to put forth for the JDM Cluster.
We have decided to see if anybody here has done or thought of such a mod. Im sure its going to be similiar to that of an EG/EK cluster. I searched and found a few threads but the 194A bulb only fits the larger bulb sizes found on the DC2.
The bulb size we have obtained is the 74. Its a clear bulb without the "blue" condom. Such thing as a 74A? I really doubt these types of bulbs are availabe here in the US market.
So we are thinking of either spray painting the bulbs, or, use a cellaphane type of material to give it that "amber' effect. TIA

hey migs, instead of using that blue 'condom' looking cover on the bulbs, get 99-00 Si Climate control bulbs from the dealer and it should have amber 'condom' type covers and use those to cover your cluster bulbs.
i have yet to try this, but i will on my 97 hatch.

no prob, yeah i heard you were around, i was going to introduce myself, but i didn't know which one was u. too bad i only could stay for 1 hour
I found it very hard to find bulbs with the amber covers + they were quite expensive. I just used Tamia (sp?) clear orange paint. This can be found at a local hobby shop. Works very well.
How much were the covers. My cousin is getting anxious on this mod
By, the way, Im the guy behind the yellow GSR with the shaved head, kinda putting his hands on his pocket.
