Default Del Sol Gauge Cluster Bulbs, wanting to upgrade!

Hey guys I am looking to upgrade the bulbs in my del sol cluster to LEDs. the "wide angle" ones.

What type of bulbs or size is the stock ones? and how many of each are there including the ones in the climate control?

Anyone who has done this please post your experience, It would be appreciated, thanks!

they're type 74 bulbs.
the one behind the gas/temp gauges though has less room though and most LED bulbs won't fit. For that I recommend wiring in your own 5mm blue LED by soldering it to the contacts on the back of the cluster and hot glueing it in place.
I'd us a 5mm LED from Oznium.com

I'm pretty sure there are 8 of them(but don't quote me) in the cluster and I have no idea about the climate control. You might want to get on the DSOC thread and ask around

Did you ever end up upgrading the bulbs in the cluster? If so what color did you decide to go with?

I am thinking about replacing these bulbs with a different color, I have a red del sol si. I think I might just end up replacing them with red bulbs but it would be awesome if anyone had any pictures of how it turned out.

i went with blue LEDs. it looks nice. but not what i wanted since the big led is like a real nice dark blue and the smaller ones are not as blue

How many 74 bulbs did you get for the cluster? Did it take you long to change everything out?

I don't remember all the bulb codes I got but they definitely do work. If you go to www.superbrightleds.com they have diagrams of all the types of gauge cluster bulbs, etc. If you pull the bulbs out of your cluster you can figure out which ones you need just by comparing them with the pictures. Here was mine when I finished.

oh yeah, and don't forget to pull this thing out of the top to allow more light to go through!

Hey I changed out my LED bulbs to red ones from superbrightleds but it seems that the left side of the clusters are dimmer than the right side. I haven't had time to check out what might be causing the problem. Has anyone else had this problem?
