My question is if the eagle rods are stronger did reserch but no answers.

the kit comes with custom rods but i dont want them if they will snap and blow a hole in my block.

But hondatech has good enough stuff to get by ive found so good answer other than my question about rods.

 

FJ sell's race proven stuff, he started the whole vitara thing here in the states, so you have nothing to worry about on using his rods. Eagle rods can handle more power than you can afford to put on a motor, but will drop your compression low if you are using vitara pistons. I have no doubt that FJ rods are just as good and will bump up compression on vitaras

Yseries throw rods not because of the rods used but because they don't oil as well as a z6

Ive done reserch but i wanna know what everybody else thinks on a d16z6 they may have built.

 

Personally the d16 is cheaper to buy then a bseries and are a dime a dozen BUT are just as expensive to build than any other motor. Unless all you want to do is put a turbo on it but that wont get you to 12 sec.

 

Hey man, don't mean to threadjack, but I've got a D16Y7 Block with Vitara pistons and ARP headstuds, with a full turbo setup too... PM me if you're interested.

 

imo i would say d16z6 is the best stock block for turbo. i had one running 9 psi and it held up very good.

ok so im running stock sleeves and eagle rods and wiseco pistons and stock head and im at 300whp on an .50 trim turbo and its got a shitty tune done by me still haven't ran it on the track but ill get like 13's on 15 psi

 

?? so are you running 13 or want to know if your running 13? sorry cant make sence of what you are trying to say.

 

i will be running 13's just need new slicks
