Its also important to know what size you should be running. Most turbo manufacturers will have a specific size line requirement.

Thats because the chart is referring to the inside diameter of the hose. You will have to cut it open if you want to know what size it is or some how figure out how thick the tube wall is.

the chart is telling you to measure the diameter of the fitting on the end of the line, so you dont need to cut anything. most likely you have female threads on the end of the line so measure the inside of them

Take the line with you to your local hardware store, and try screwing it to different size fittings to see what size you have.

At the hardware store the fittings will be called JIC and not AN. They are the same type of fitting though. Here's how to convert from one to the other.

-3 AN = 3/16" JIC
-4 AN = 1/4" JIC
-6 AN = 3/8" JIC
-8 AN = 1/2" JIC
-10 AN = 5/8" JIC
-12 AN = 3/4" JIC
-16 AN = 1" JIC

ok cool, this helps out so much, cause i was at OSH yesterday and got a fitting to fit onto my line, the fitting was a 3/16" fitting so that tells me i have a -3an oil feed line. thanks everyone!
