tps is a throttle position sensor, it's located on the throttle body and it pretty much senses throttle postion.

Thanks, does it gone wrong on 4th Gen Prelude (VTEC) a lot then as for the last 4 months I have been driven crazy with my Lude sometimes refusing to behave correctly e.g. when it gets warmed up it may sometimes be very sluggish to accelerate - like it was under heavy load (you can heard the strain in the exhaust). I have removed the cat, had the dizzy checked, plugs and leads replaced and I'm currently going to get the Fuel Pressure sensor replaced - anyone have similar problems?

you can remove it and test it.
or take it to a shop. it sounds like it may be the problem. or some fuel/ignition.
check the tps though

It's unlikely that it's the TPS sensor. If it totaly failed it would throw a code. It's not used to determine fueling requirements and has no relation to a/f ratio. It simply senses when the car is at zero throttle and needs to fuel cut or use it's idle controls and it's used to tell whether the car should be pulled out of closed loop mode.
