Default LS/V???'S, PLEASE HELP...

ok, first off i'm not very familiar with the site and don't visit much, but i was recommended by another user who always finds the H-Tech very useful. i'm running an ls/v with a crower'd out head. cams are 63402-2, and i recently installed a set of blox cam gears (BXPT 10100). my timing's dead on, cam gears are zeroed and the car fires up on first crank. the problem i'm having is that i'm hearing a kinda loud knock in the head, now i'm guessing my question is should my cam gears be adjusted to correct this prob, and if so by what degree or so?????? please help. ( before replacing the oem cam gears to the blox, their were absolutely no knocking). call or txt if u have possible solutions please, car's my daily and need this prob fix asap. 678-895-6669

You should have set your valve adjustment before you started the car.

well i didn't think i'd need to do a another valve adjustment, i recently had it done several weeks ago and all was good. as well i didn't remove the cams or anything, just replaced the gears, but i guess it's a start so i'll give it a shot.

cam gears was shot with an impact so i'm assuming they're pretty damn tight, and the timing belt is good n tight.

i'm honestly not too certain, and was sure how to check em. but i was told to puch down on them n see whether or not they stick. if so, then that could possibly be the prob? i'm gonna assume that valvle adjustment needs to be done; however, i wont be doing it, i'ma have an expert get on that one n get bk to the tech with my results. any other suggestions i'd greatly appreciate. thanks much everyone, i will let u all know wats the outcome.

idk man, guess it was a silly thing to do, and also probably cause they were so tight at first. i wasnt able to break it with all my might, and didn't think it would prove so detrimental using the impact.

hmmm was the adjustable cam gear bolts tight ?? it sceems like they might have been lose and the noise you where hearing was the cam gear sliding around on the that adjustable part take a look at the front and back of the cam gears to see if there is scratched metal or anything from them sliding around
