Default valve adj. with gears

what's goin on everybody. I have an ls/vtec with a few mods and my question is when I adjust my valves do I do them with the cam gears set at their setting or do I set the gears back to 0 and then adjust my valves?

Some adj. gears are designed so you can eye it up and accurately align the cam gear correctly even if its if advanced or retarded...Since you are inexperienced doing it this way and I don't know what type of gears you are using, put them back to 0 degrees and do the adjustments accordingly...

The small amount you have them adjusted is half of that at the crank, so realistically it is only going to be 1 or 2 degrees off. When your trying to get it at TDC, I can never get it closer than a few degrees off anyways. If you are worried about 1 or 2 degrees, you are much better than I am at lining up the marks.
