rear brakes makings squeel while reversing.
It started 2 days ago, noise coming from passenger rear brake.... symtoms:
1)makes squeeling noise when i drive...but you can't really hear it unless you really concetrate.
2) makes same nosie when reversing.
3) when I'm brakeing it's fine and no noise.
4) I think it's the brakes.... maybe their not relaseing all the way when i let off the brake...hence the sqeeling/scrapping noise.)
please help me out... I also have a bad wheel bearing on the rear driverside that i know i need to fix.... could this have anything to do with the new problem?

prolly just time to replace the pads/shoes (depending on discs/drums) they have lil piece of metal which start to contact the rotor when they need new ones.
yes i have rear dis brakes. It can't be the hand brake cable or anything like that because i never use it(it's an auto) i haven't changed the brakes yet but i will diffintly check that out when ever i get a day of. Hummmmmm are you guys refering to the metal cip that is near the pads and calipers....? So that might be causeing the noise? any other thoughts?
by the way.... this is why i love hond-tech. you guys are very helpful. LOL

it is the pads. you need new ones. i just use autozone pads in the rear, but i get a lil squeek from em under normal breaking. you wont have any squeek if you go with OEM pads.
its a little metal tab that is attached to the pad, and when the pad gets worn down enough it starts to rub metal against metal, which is the noise your hearing. if you neglect it for too long you will notice it getting worse and worse till it turns into a grinding noise instead of a squeek.

you might have to loosen the ebrake cable a lil bit, i tried to make it stiffer and tighten too much.. so that made it squeal.. try loosening it up a bit, gotta remove the arm rest to get to it.
