Hey guys I have a b18b in my crx. Anyways i think it has da integra axles. Anyways it started making some noise and I checked the passenger side axle on it only to find I can move the axle in and out about a centimeter. Anyways is there any cheap tricks to fix this or is the axle toast. I know my roommate has a prelude that is putting a 5 lug conversion on it and has to get washers to space the axle nut. Is that required on a crx with a ls swap?

 

no it is not required on that swap if you have the right axles.... as far as your vehicle if its not causing any problems i would let it be ive seen plenty of axles with that much play and that is just how they came out of the box.... what type of noise was it and when does it happen in particular???

 

well now its mainly when i let off when driving the whole car shakes and I can hear the axle moving and banging around. Sounds like thud thud thud thud thud. Its so noisy and feels not safe to drive its the dd for now. I am worried that its going to pop out or tear something else up.

 

That's your wheel bearing does the tone of sound change the differnt ways you turn like ooh one way and ahh the other I was just describing this sound to my gf on the way to pho earlier

 

No its the same noise. however the noise is there when you let off the gas and goes away when you get back on the gas. I am going to pull the car apart tomorrow since its almost to dangerous to drive. Hopefully its a simple fix as I am tired of dropping money into this car.
