I just put on some Civic Hx rims on my 90 Crx HF and the wheels wont turn? The scrape inside of the rim with the brake pad.
I'm confused shouldn't they fit?

 

do you have STOCK HF brakes? HX rims will NOT clear the following brake set ups:
96-00 EX/SI front brakes (they hit the caliper bracket)
90-01 Integra (LS, RS, GS, GSR) brakes they also hit

i have HX rims on my 97 EX coupe. all i did was i grinded down the caliper bracket so they wouldnt hit.

 

shave down the calipers.

they wont fit over any EX model brake caliper. from the years 90-00. i know this from experience with my 90 EX sedan.

On passenger side it will kind but it scrapes. But on Driver side a little.

 

Yes they fit with modification. I have them on my bone stock 97 EX coupe. Just had to shave down the caliper brackets.

 

i got them to fit on mine too. i shaved the rim down. i just wanted to add to the list of years that require modificiation.

 

i dont have any issues with the vx wheels(13") on my 90 crx si

 

That's because those brake set ups are different. I had my hx and old vx rims fitting perfect on my Stock DX front brake set up.

 

Oh ok thanks alot guys. How much would wheel spacers run me? I don't really wanna shave off .25in off my calipers half ***.
Or where could I purchase some

 

you can find them at your local motorsports or online.(maybe even a tire shop i scene alot of rims shops that have them) the price depends on how wide you want them but maybe $85-140 im rounding up. maybe less or more.

HF's have small brakes. I don't see why they don't fit, if you have the original brakes

 

i just put the spacers on mine. any parts store has them. just get the smallest adapters they have. 5 mm.

 

Oh ok thanks alot man. Any way to tell if I have stock brakes? I really thought there were stock lmao. I went to a local rim shop and he said it was 10 bucks. =] 5mm it is.
