What the hell, my HX rims don't fit on my EX. Help
I tried putting the Civic HX rims that I bought from sherman on to my 95 Civic EX Sedan and the front ones don't fit over the stock brakes. Has anyone else had experience with this? The caliper is hitting the rim in a ring around where the lugs go in. I think I am going to just see if I can grind some of the stock brake down to make it fit unless someone has a better idea. Maybe wheel spacers?

EX sedan came with the larger size brakes (10.3") to make them fit grind the caliper away & run about 2-3mm spacer or run a spacer thats about 5-7mm or so (might require, extend lug nuts).

You answered your own question. The EX brakes are bigger than the HX. You listed your only options besides getting new (bigger) wheels. Try a search if you want more info/details, this has been discussed before.
