Hey recently my swapped si just stopped wanting to start. It did it one evening but only after cranking it for like 10 mins. Yesterday it didn't want to start at all. Checked everything in the ignition system and all is well, after replacing plugs wires and coil, dizzys still good. it did seem to have weak spark but ignitions good. Found that the pump was not priming so the pump was replaced and after the install it primed ONCE and not ever again so went and got another replacement and that one didn't even prime? So far the only problem is that pump isn't priming, I am lost at this point, I'm going to borrow a buddys b16 ecu and see if that does anything for me, but please pass me some input! sounds like the main relay also check your grounds and make sure you hooked them all back up

You never replace a fuel pump on a fuel-injected Honda without first checking for power at the pump harness connector. Faulty solder joints on the main relay PCB are far, far more common than a bad Denso fuel pump. 95% of main relay problems are mis-diagnosed as a fuel pump "failure."

As mentioned, check the main relay and also check the ground connections that you disturbed during the engine installation.

Alright thanks guys, found the relay was all rusty and corroded from some water that use to leak down that side of my car. However, I just replaced the relay, the pump works now, but now it still doesn't want to start?! any ideas?

 

1) Check for spark.

2) Check whether the fuel injector clips have battery voltage with the key in ON(II).

3) Any CEL codes?

 

How do you check the injector clips?

 

Unplug injector clips, turn key to ON(II), measure voltage to body ground on the Yel/Blk terminal in each connector.

 

Alllright here i am again, thank you guys. Car's still down, its starts! But now it doesn't seem to have power, I had replaced the distributor and after 200 bucks that wasn't the solution ha. Took the injectors out and found them dirty and one cracked, had them cleaned up and rebuilt and now it's starting and running buuut when given some throttle it bogs out, no power, wants to and sometimes dies... Any ideas????
