My civic had been starting hard (taking a while to start) it died on me two weeks ago as if the key had been turned off I changed the plus and wires that week and cleaned the points on the distributor cap.

Now it died on the way home from work and will not restart I changed the main relay on advice from a friend. I still won't start. It isn't getting any voltage at the fuel pump, if I jump the relay from the power into the plug to the fuel pump, the pump will turn on but the car won't start still. The relay buzzes like its supposed to when you turn it on, but still dosen't send power to the fuel pump.

I'm out of ideas at this point.
Did I get a bad relay?
Is there something else not letting the relay work?

Does the CEL stay on? Any CEL codes?

In addition to the fuel pump failing to prime, do you also lack spark at the plugs?

Have you checked whether fuse 31, 24, or 18 is blown?

Have you cleaned and tightened the ground wire attached to the thermostat housing?

the cel stays on, I will check all of those tomorrow after work as it's sitting at work. Thanks for the help will report back.
