turbo a ls/vtec ?anybody have this done
i have a ls/vtec .i was thinking about changing pistons and boosting .my only problem is wondering about the t tap on the back of the block.do they share this line or is there somewhere else i can tap for oil.plus ,will my engine and turbo get enough oil using the same tap.could i go with a 5 quart oil pan and be safe with a exra quart of oil.thanks ,....

u can run a oil feed line for the turbo and the vtec out of the oil pressure sending unit...that will be fine, u just need some T fittings
or u could buy one of those things in the thread about and use that for the tap where u send the oil to the turbo

ya worth it but damm its expensive,, and you better make sure you know really well how to build a LS/vtec.
my friend with his turbo/nitrous Crv/vtec fully built is having tons of problems with his set up. Hes buring oil like crazy. What a waist of 20,000$

its totally worth it, and every car i setup, we setup like this, no oil problems.
it should cost the same or less than an equivalent GSR buildup.

will a GSR oil pump suffice, or Type R all the way?
oh, My friend just coughed up an idea. The first T from the Block goes up and out. The "out" goes to the pressure sensor, and the "Up" goes to another T that goes to the head and Turbo feed. This gets rid of something sticking like 4-5 inches backwards out the back of the block

Im running a turbo Ls-vtec. Only advice I can give is to upgrade to a GSR pump and dont tap into the oil sending unit twice. On my set up we tapped the sending unit for turbo and they actually tapped a hole in the oil passage way on the back of the block. This set up seems to work fine, car goes into vtec with no problems. Hope this helps..........
This is the correct way to do it. If you use the factory hole the sending unit was in the inner diameter is too small when you put a fitting in it. If you tap directly into the oil passage with a 1/4npt to -6 fitting you have the same size oil feed as honda made it in the vtec blocks. It works both ways, but should be more reliable with it's own feed.
so you are agreeing to use the Sending unit for one and to tap the passageway for the other?
EDIT: Instead of a double T
