d series build, cheap boost, help?
ok, im getting a jdm d15b vtec, i have a 1991 dx hatch, completely gutted, stock everything right now, except auto to 5 speed swap and dpfi to mpfi.
dx cable tranny
im looking to run the d15b with a p28, im wanting to run boost
i dont have much money, but i know d series turbo kits are cheap
im looking to make at the most 200 hp for now
im keeping the internals stock, so im not gonna run higher than 7 pounds
i heard a t28 or t25 would be best for me to use because its small and would spool up best with the little power i have?
idk, im not educated in the boost department
but my questions pretty much are
what turbo should i run?
what tranny? 4 speed?
should i get a 70mm tb?
what size piping and crap?
what tune?
what ecu?
turbo timer? or no?
thicker headgasket?
boost controller?
idk!
i want a decently quick, daily driver, that sounds nice.
sorry if i sound like a newb, please help me out, and keep flaming to a minimum

Not to sound like a dick man but just do research actually read stuff Turbo: Real World High-Performance Turbocharger Systems by Jay K. Miller is an AWESOME book to read. Those of us that ligitimetly know what we are talking about weren't born that way. We actually read, did research, and some even formal school. So, if you HONESTLY want to do this and you're going to build and install the kit yourself you need to know what the hell you're doing. Don't just listen to people off of HT cause you'll get about 90% terrible info and 10% worth keeping, and since you don't know yourself you'll have no idea who/what to listen to and what not to. So do some honest research and if you're still struggling ask specific questions, but ones like this you basically want someone to do FOR you what you should be paying someone to do if you don't have the know how.
