Default Suspension noise

2 months ago I installed Ground Controls with KYB AGX on my '98 BB6 SH, lately Ive been hearing like this little bell sound coming from the passenger front side, its becoming very annoying and Im trying to figure out what can it be! Could it be that something is loose? or maybe the suspension needs lube? Ideas are welcomed. Thanks

did you check to see if anything was hitting? have someone push down on that corner while you inspect for things hitting each other.

I did somehow but the suspension seems pretty stiff. I notice that when I turn on the car I hear the same bell noise and when I put the car on 1st gear or reverse (you know when the car jerks a little) it makes the same noise.

hmm im assuming that this is an automatic.. I would jack the front up take the wheel off and start looking for things that could be loose, signs of damage, maybe even put it in neutral and spin the tire slowly to see if you get the bell noise again. Also maybe the springs are not perched right I remember I had a broken stock spring in the front that would make funny noises. Good luck if all else fails take it to the mechanic!

I've been having a similiar problem...except my doesn't sound like a bell it sounds like a grinding or rubbing. I've checked under there nothing seems funky. But if i turn the wheel at a stop it makes the noise, if i'm coming to a stop it makes it right before i completely stop, and it makes the noise at low speed turns. I've gotten out and put weight on it (car off, parked) and you can hear it when you jump up and down on it. But im not sure if it's suspension or in my steering it's really strange. Oh and it normally only does it when it's really hot out...on cool days i rarely hear it.

Oh no.. I have a 5 SPD BB6 SH (like mentioned before) I dont know if Im supposed to lubricate the whole suspension after installing. I might just take off all 4 wheels and just recheck to see if everything is on tight. Its not easy work for a novice, but playing around with the car and following instructions I've become a Pro.

Only automatics do this. Not sure why you experience such a thing in a standard unless you don't know how to drive.

Sorry for the confusion.

I jerk the car on purpose to see if my suspension makes any noise. Today I noticed when I was parked with the AC on and the fan working, I heard the SAME bell type noise. now im really thinking something is loose and it might be the suspension, maybe the upper strut?
