so i swapped out my damaged obd1 H22, and replaced it with the same motor. however, the distibutor on my old motor had an external coil and my new motor does not... how can i get my new motor to start w/o having to pay $200+ for a new distibutor???

Use your old one and just figure out where your gonna mount the coil to, simple.

 

i sold the old distibutor...

 

i think i had the same problem. i have a jdm h22 and it has an internal igntion coil and the usdm h22 has an internal coil witch mean diff distribtor. but what ive come to find out is the integra distributor is the same as the jdm h22.

Just stick a 20 Amp fuse into the part where the coil goes.
