Default Fresh gsr crank grind & balance need bearing advise LOOK !

They ground the crank 0.25 (0.010)
Heres what journals spec out to Mains 54.75mm/(2.1555in) Rods 44.75m /(1.7620in) Wanted to make sure that ACL race bearings (0.010)/0.25mm would indeed be correct size

I ran duraglide oem spec bearings in my current gsr, but new build is gonna be 82mm Cp 11.0.1 c/r b18c1 eagle h-beam rods, acl race bearings, fully built port & polished p72 head ITR valvetrain Crower titanium retainers, Skunk2 Tuner 2 cams, Undecided if Im gonna run cam gears I have brand new skunk2s but car Is gonna be tunned by Churches again or Do it dyno I like the look of the greddy/toda blue timing belts cut valve covers & exposed cam gears, but this is my daily & I live in the worst state for owning a hopped up Honda CA anyways also have portmatched 68mm skunk2 t/b & intake manifold, 01 H22 injectors,Aem FPR/rail Hondata heatshield, walbro 255, Act streelite / flywheel hd pressure plate & disc 96 spec ITR tranny hasport axles, innovative billet mounts all wrapped up in a 1 owner 99 dc2 aiming for 225 on dynapack made 208 last dyno non-ported head, 60mm exh, apexi intake, new set-up. 2.5" mandrel bent cat back magnaflow resonator/muffler, custome 3" tube courtesy of K&N BPI velocity stack w/K&N 98 ITR header/JDM CAT. Only reason for build car uses oil smokes a lil either piston rings or valve guides either way, have these parts readily avail so ya back to the bearings much input greatly appreciated I dont have an oem repair manual that has specs

Did you get the crank nitrided after the grinding?

If not I would get a used crank and use OEM bearings according to the colour chart. Green all the way across usually doesn't cut it.

It was a very mild grind why would they consider doing the job for me if it will not be reliable ? Why does it need to be re-nitrided if the bearings is what takes the abuse ? Why would they sell.25 bearings as well ?

just fyi, honda crank has a special coating they put on the crank for reliability/longevity, if that coating has been taken off by grinding, ur crank will still work but will not last as long as a crank that has the coating. get a use crank thats still good u will save yourself some headache for doing that.

You guys say get another crank lightly I just spent $105.00 on acl bearings $187 on machine work & balance cant afford to just **** can the crank, it wasnt really bad before the grind just wanted it perfect, cant I just get it coated or something feel like they dont make -0.25 bearings for a reason

you must not know anytihng about a N/a engine.

Jack the compression yo and be mad fast!@!!

his compression is perfect for n/a.

as far as the crank goes, the heat treating honda does only goes so far into the surface. one removed it needs to be retreated and recoated.

Wasnt raised by much I have jdm b18c gsr in the car which yields at 10.6.1 I believe & now its 11.0.1 will help but port & polished head should make a difference along with my fresh intake & exhaust set up, before the exh was bottlenecked & filter was a little small the pleats wernt that big on the apexi intake
