p73 rods on a p72 crank

Default p73 rods on a p72 crank

anybody know what color bearings to go by? the p72 crank shows 3 greens and 1 brown?

You have to match the rods with the bearing codes on the crank. Best way is to use a set of used bearings, measure them (plastigauge) then purchase new bearings according to the measurements to attained.

are the gsr and itr rod color bearings identical? this is my setup:

b18c1
gsr head
us itr pistons
itr rods
gsr crank

old gsr rods where 3 green and 1 brown
i got new ones from the dealer
installed everything and started the motor up and heard some really loud knocking. seemed to be more audible closer to the tranny. am i using the right rod bearings? help please...
