Default Bad Luck with 99SH

I ran into some bad luck with my Prelude 99SH this month, the car got hit while it was parked, the JDM emblems were stolen the next day, and the clutch went bad this weekend.

After a lot of thinking, I decided to put it back together even though I would love to sell it and lay my hands on an s2k.

I need to first change the clutch, I would like to put in a clutch that can handle some beating. I have seen many clutches out there, but cannot make up my mind on one, any suggestions? what brand do you recommend? Which Stage? remember I have an SH with no boost. should I get a light flywheel? would I gain anything? If so which flywheel do you recommend?

Also, I have been thinking to do something with the engine to get close to the 250whp. I know that my SH don't like more than 250whp. I have 125k on the engine. which setup would be the cheapest and the most efficient for my engine to get close to 250whp? I have been reading for months about SH and how to build them, but I cannot put the puzzle together,. I would appreciate it, if you could suggest me a setup to consider.

Thank you

250whp=light boost or complete N/A build
i prefer a n/a personally just see'n the look on some peoples faces when they get beat by a non-turbo honda is priceless

If I go with light boost, how light are we talking about? how short do I cut the life of the engine by boosting it?

I would go with n/a build as well. As far as your flywheel you will get some gains from getting a lighter one. I have lighter flywheel and clutch from clutch masters its done me just fine. I just have basic bolt ons and stage two cams and it does fine. To make the power you want and still be cost effective light boost would probabley be your best option.
6-8psi of boost should be pretty solid and reliable any more with a stock internals your risking the life of your motor. Plus h22 are high compression so you don't want to over do it.

I spoke with my mechanic today, since he will be working on it regardless with which option I chose; he suggested N/A as well, and said it would cost around $3500 including all the parts and labor (this includes also a forged crank and stage two cams).
He said he will research it a little more and give me a detailed list of what I need.

As far as the internals, which brand should I go with?

So by rebuilding the engine, would I reach 250 to the wheels? or do I need to do anything else?

Pro2's and supporting mods and you can get there. Check out the dyno thread here and in the all motor section. Off the top of my head I would say TypeS pistons, stock crank and rods will be fine, ARP hardware, good header, 3" exhaust, ported Euro-R manifold w/ 70mm TB, Pro2 cams & VT, tuned intake, good VJ and possible p&p on the head. Tuning will be your biggest enemy. If you keep the ATTS system you're stuck with piggybacks; eManage Ultimate is what I would suggest. If you want to upgrade the rods you can, shaving off some extra weight is never a bad idea. If you really want to spend the money, you can get a lighter crank, but it's really not needed.
