Default engine shakes bad after swapping to 6 puck clutch

the engine shakes pretty violently after instaling my 6 puck competition clutch. I understand with these clutches you need to rev the car more to move from a stop, but sometimes in reverse i rev it up to 5000K, release the clutch slowly and the damn **** still shakes..like when a car is about to stall...is it the clutch...? It performs fine, just a pain in the *** when i move the car from a stop, especialy reverse...was it something with the instalation, or perhaps the tranny...? could be my motor mounts...?

help me please

my clutch does the same damn thing i have an act stage 2 with a stepped resurfaced stock flywheel.. i broke it in right and everything but when i go to back up if i let it out slow it chatters and if i let it out fast it jerks like a ****..

same thing with going forward.. i dont rev it up that much cuz the more i rev it the harder it grabs and i dont want to break anything... just try to rev it slowly and let the clutch out kinda quick but not fast and the more u let the clutch out push the gas in

It's chatter. Let it get broken in some more and you'll be ok.

You are using a race only clutch disk and you are complaing about how it acts on the street?

Thats what you get for using a race only clutch on the street.

This is why I don't even use a race only clutch in my RACE car. Too much of a PITA, and there really is no reason unless you are running BIG boost.

Learn to live with it or change it.

as a side note, the stock clutches will last longer. since no doubt you will slip the 6-puck to keep it from chattering.

I will NEVER get a 6-puck again... not even for my race car.

Your girlfriend will not be impressed either.

The worst was when I had racing brake pads (porterfield R4) on my car and the 6-puck..

the car would shake, and the brakes would squel.

not exactly a friday night date car

6 puck + poly urethane mounts = siezure car

When this one wears out in roughly 10,000 miles, get a spring loaded 6 puck, takes away alot of the chatter

I have to strongly diagree with you. I had to work on a guy from my works car because he tried to put his clutch in himself and couldn't figure out why it didn't work. He put the clutch disk on backwards so it is possible. I would have never thought it possible if I didn't see it myself. The guys is a total dumbass when it comes to cars, but he's helped fix a few computers for me.
