Ok i was driving home my cel came on for code 4 which is a ckp (crank position senor) went into limp mode wouldnt go past 3.5k rpm.. So i found out the sensor is located in the dizzy replaced that and now they cel is off revs past 3.5k but has no power at all.. when i press the gas the car just bogs out and barely moves at all.. i have to ease on the gas to get it to go... Any ideas what to check???

What i have done:
spark plugs and wires less than 10k mi ago
new cap
adjusted the dizzy every which way dosnt help
double check the firing order

what else could it be??

 

the distributor i just got has tc-08a marked on it.. looked the number up and it says its only for 1.8l bseries engines could b the reason??

You have NO CEL, and it's still in limp mode?

I would re-scan it and see if it still has anything stored. I can think of no reason that a Civic would limp mode with no CEL at all.

 

no the car dosnt have a cel on.. im not for sure car is n limp mode or not it just moves REALY slow i have to ease on the gas to get it to move
