B17, sputtering at low rpms then gets better as I go up in rpms. Just happened after I got off the highway, when I went to start from first gear it felt like I was starting in second or third. What do you guys think? dizzy? I have no cel or anything. Any help would be appreciated. I have to drive home from work today I just hope it isnt anything major. I will check the ecu for codes at lunch.

 

My first instinct was the ICM in the dizzy. Any other thougths H-T guys?

 

bump I am going to go check it out at lunch a little more see if plug wires are loose or something. No CEL. You guys think it is fine to drive with an ignition problem or will if F something up?

 

went and checked it out and it smells like gas from my exhuast. Is it possible it is just a case of bad gas? Funny thing is I have no CEL. is it possible to be the cap, rotor, plugs or icm without a CEL?

 

if you're smelling gas out of the exhaust it means you're running rich, means youre not burning all the fuel. check your spark components.

 

Tune up your secondary ignition components, yes you could be misfiring without a CEL.

could it be my that one of my injectors is bad and i am running on 3 cyl?

 

Checked spark at all cylnders, all good. I checked my plugs and one was fouled, replaced it and still doing it. but it seems that all cylnders are running it just seems its missing. I think it might be the rotor.

 

man same thing happened to my friends hatch it suppters then when it gets to 3krpm it stops and runs good but he changed spark plugs and wires, checked the injectors, tryed a new main relay,dizzy is supposedly new, we ran out of ideas

 

Yes, that is secondary, sorry, a tuneup without filters, any type of cleaning or adjustments.
