Flashing CEL + stuttering/hesitation ?

Flashing CEL + stuttering/hesitation ?
I got a flashing CEL last night while driving home and the car started stutterin and vibrating while accelerating, and at idle it feels like it's ready to die.
Turned it off, this morning turned it on and it ran fine for the first 1 min while the engine was still cold, but after 1 min started having the same problems and flashing CEL again.
What could be the reason for this? I'm guessing valves need adjustment or some sort of misfiring.. hoping to be able to narrow it down a bit with help from you guys.
Car is a 98 DX with 250k WELL MAINTAINED.

Thanks, will try that tonight! but in the meantime, wondering if anyone else had the same problem as me?

In case anyone wondering, it was the spark plugs. They were all messed after 2 years of use/abuse.

Mine was doing it.. pulled cap and all rsuty loking soot in it. Ron (another member here) told me thats a sign that the bearings are going in the Dizzy. I ordered a new dizzy and will let all of you know if that was my problem. Same symptoms though. I had tried the O2 change before taking the dist cap off and still ran iffy when warm so I can only imagine that all of that rust soot in the dist was causing my issues. Take a look un there and report back.
