How do I make a d15 sohc vtec and fast.
Ive got an 88 Honda Civic hatchback D15. Its gutted completely. Looking to increase hp and make vtec if possible. For the cheapest alternative instead of a swap. Let me know. If not its forsale aha 500 runs. Problems with camshaft. Daily driver throu thick and thin
You need to do a lot of reaserch before you start modifying your car. I can tell by your post that you don't really know what your talking about. So start reading. And just a heads up, you make d15 fast by throwing them away and starting with another engine.

Buy a D15b with vtec and modify that.

Don't forget to eat a lot of P.F. Chang's and Aunt Jemima's frozen sausage biscuts and take a huge **** weighing at least 8 kurics and then spray the outside of your crx with it and make sure not to use any clearcoat.
be patient cause fjt will start selling d15b2/b7 rods and vitara piston combo's soon so all the worthless d15's can now be equal to the d16's
d16z6 or y8 head will bolt up. just gotta run the vtec lines from the sylinoid to your ecu. might be a shop around you that can help you out since it seems like no one who replied to your thread cares to.
ha ha, you could, but it sure as hell wouldn't call it fast
The "cheapest" and easiest option would be to run to the pink and pull...buy a 1990-91 Integra engine/tranny/ecu/shift linkage and axles for like $300
Get a cheap set of mounts and boom.....you gain 40hp and 36 ft lbs tq. There is nothing else for the money spent that will give you that kind of gain, especially tq, which 90% of people often overlook
