Rust Issues, help needed
hi guys im looking into how i can go about tackleing this rust before this coming winter i have a vague idea of what i have to do but would like your guys thoughts on it. i have a 90 ef with the rear rocker panels rusted out pretty much and the metal under neath the rocker panel shows signs of fatigue also how would you go about resolving the rust
yeah i would like to keep and use her as a daily driver and i dont really have much experience with body work i understand metal refinishing and that theres multiple steps from removal or rust to welding in new panels refinishing priming painting never really done body work though especially on a honda
Yikes that looks really bad... Have you looked at the local junkyards for a CRX? I used to see them all of the time, a lot of times they weren't even wrecked or anything. If you could find a car to cut up and use body parts from it seems like that may make this project a little easier to do.
my biggest concern is with the passenger rear quarter panel but all rust is bad. okay ill look into some junkyards around me good idea any other food for thought ?

What i did a year ago was picked up some stuff that helped make it so the rust would stop growing, cut out the rust put that stuff on the edges, then got some Bondo mesh meshed up the area's and then bondo'd and sanded the surfaces a few times, painted and it looks like its stock.
The product was by Bondo i just cant think of the name of it.
btw, no rust to this day!
