??thieft proof civic??
i know there are people on this scene that can break in to civic's all day long, like riding a ****** bike. so what i would like to know is how would you go about accessing a 92-95 4dr civic? I want to make my car a theift proof as possible, PYTON 880XP, with tilt sensor, prox sensor, glass break, "pain siren" and normal siren inside of the car. I really don't think the normal siren is affective unless installed inside of the car.
get a hood lock, backup siren/battery. Layering is the key.
You listed both normal siren and pain siren..usually one is inside the car, one is outside. You get the best of both worlds this way.

best way to theif proof a car. one of those huge cargo container that the ships use for oversea importing and exporting. every nite park it in there then park sumthing else out the door with a huge masterlock.
python makes the peizo siren that is known to create a painfully ear pericing shrill at about 140 dB the model number is PYT513T. Ultimate Electronics can get them, so does Cartoys. I might be able to oder one for you if you live in the Texas, DFW area.
i agree totally on the hood lock, especially on 92-95 civics. You can easily reach under the grill and pull the hood cable and the hood will snap unlocked. Relocate the battery to the trunk. I heard thieves be using big speaker magnets placed on the hood above the battery can drain the battery out. Also shave your door handles.
I got one for you that some of you problably havent heard... Take a nice 3 ton hydro jack, and weld it to the underframe of your car. Some where where it will have enough bracing points to withstand alot of stress. Make sure you extend the jack lever in to the cabin somehow. Then before you leave your car, just jack away, untill the wheels are about to go off the ground. Before doing this mod, make sure you remove the jacks wheels. Some creative pointy leg fabrication would be great. This means, if they do start your car, its not going anywhere. A car can also be easily modded to be untowable by normal means. The way a tow truck usually tows a car is by the wheels, through the underside. If you setup a clamping under brace system, that you lock to the underbelly of the car, then the towtruck would have no towing points. Alof of this stuff is common sence. I dont care what anyone says, if they really want a car, they dont nessesarily have to get it. At some point, the trouble is just too great. And no one here is talking about security for their Ferraris, so there isnt much to be scared of. Its all a matter of how much trouble you wanna go through, to keep your car.

I am really looking for info on how true car theives get into the 92-95 honda civic or any car for that matter! thank you for the info about under the hood, so my question is now, the hood lock. how exactly does that work?? i'm not shure what to use use as a hood lock. but if i am going to use my trunk pop as a hood unlock, then i guess that should be enought to keep that cable out of the way right?? well guys please keep the infor coming!!!
wow it must suck to live in cali. no one would ever think of stealing a honda in alabama, hehe.
in a similar thread, someone said that he had a peice of carpet with 3 inch long spikes stuck thru it pointing upwards that he left on his seat...so any theif gets a nice surprise. hehe

If your truly serious about not having your car stolen, have a brake lock installed at your local speed shop, theives may be able to start the car but with all four brakes locked they arent going anywhere.
The easiest way if you have an alarm.. Go by yourself that little button on the side of your door that shuts the light cluster if the doors are open or not. Take that button switch and install it under the hood of the car. Make sure that switch is hooked up to your alarm like your doors. So if the hood ever pops open it will sound the alarm.. Of course drilling and wiring will be required..but thats another way.
theres cars that are more secure/harder to steal.. and have more layers of security/anti-theft measure than others.. but I don't think theres really a "theft proof" car...
all i have on my car is,
1. stock door locks
2. autolock(i think its called, the bar that locks your steering wheel and clutch together)
3. flashing red LED, not an alarm, just the LED, that way thiefts wont bother going through the trouble when they can take the car (almost identical to mine but black) from down the street
Well like its been said over and over again, use layers in your security. You wouldn't use all your assets to buy one stock would you? Probably get an alarm (make sure installer is GOOD), get hooklocks, autolock, park another car behind the car, etc.
Just do it the "easy" way and shave all handles/locks and replace all glass with lexan.
No way they're getting in (well no easy way). Just hope you don't get in an accident, the fire dept will have a field day.
