Icon6 Another Ac Question

95 Honda Civic Ex

I swapped out the climate control in my eg. The ac is working and blows kinda cold, i checked the pressure in the lines and its all checked out.

Is there anyway to take out the old refrigerant in the lines and put new refrigerant in?

Do you think that would have my ac blowing ice cold compared to just cold?

Does The air feel like it stays right at ambient temp untill you get it to kick on? or does it kind of fade to cool slowly?

it blows pretty much warm/hot til i push and hold the button. then you can feel it trying to get cool.

The heater control panel is a common problem for 5th generation Civics like yours. Member hondalioness (?) has posted a thread somewhere describing how to resolder the panel.

i saw the write up on how to remove the dash to get to the climate control. It seems like it would be hard to replace/get too.

I should be able to get a replacement one for the junkyard for pretty cheap.

There's no need to remove the entire dash to remove the heater control panel. The job is pretty straightforward and not too difficult.

have you seen a write up or something online showing you do not have to remove dash?
