it seems like its leaking from the distributor o ring but i changed it and its still leaking what else could it be

 

Is there oil inside the distributor? OEM O-ring? Check whether the O-ring was damaged during installation.

Other possibilities are a leak from the valve cover or VTEC solenoid.

 

no its not the valve cover or the vtec soplenoid the only place its comin from is the distributor o ring but i changed it.. and its still leakin

 

unless its the head gasket just on the left side but i doubt it cuz my car runs fine

 

Incorrect installation or wrong O-ring can cause a leak.

i replaced my cam seal, and a week later my o ring on my Dizzy started leaking....get an oem, like stated and try again. make sure to clean it well.

also, the distributor has a seal on the inside of it. If you open the distributor and there is oil in it, the inner seal is bad. honda does not sell this is seal. they make you buy the whole dizzy. you can get it go to thepartsbin.com and look for the distributor seal... you have to dismantle the distributor to get to the seal on the inside..

Yes, its a "Non-Repairable" Unit. So they call it. You have to gut the dizzy to get to the seal.

But this isnt bad unless your dizzy is wet on the inside, and usually your car wont run or atleast not for long with oil in the dizzy.

 

If there's no oil inside the distributor, the distributor seal is fine.

 

im pretty sure its leakin from the o ring but i put a new one on.. i actually put one on and it was still leakin then i put another on.. still leaking.. but they werent from honda i dont think so idk what else it could be

its been said already man, the dizzy o-ring may have been installed improperly (oem or not)

pull it and check

 

ok so we took the cap off today and there was no seal at all around the cap.. so we put one there it basically goes around the whole dizzy.. are there any more seals for the dizzy?

Dumb question. Is your car turboed or does it have lots of miles making it have excessive blowby and the distributor oring is usually the first to leak from the extra pressure....try another oring, one that fits the groove nicely and takes a SMALL amount of force to push into the head, also rub some clean motor oil aruound the oring before you put the dizzy back in

 

wished my engine leaked instead of having burning oil
