Default turbo and cam advise.

I'm. In the middle of building a turbo lsv. So far manely rods je 10-1 stock sleeves. Type r intake mani, full valvetrain. My goal is 450 for a daily. Now my friend tells me just go with pro 1s but I feel its to much, and I'm undecided on a turbo, was thinking of going with the 6262 or a sc61. I don't want to be 20 something pounds to make the power. I want reliability and a happy medium.

lol everyone is on the pro1 bandwagon geez. for 450whp itr ctr cams. oem durability and reliability and driveability and 450 is easily attainable even on gsr cams and get a billet 6262. the sc61 is old wheel design

stock gsr or type r cams would do the job for you on the head already for that power goal. as far as turbo goes. i am using a sc61 turbo, only made 361hp and 249tq on my gsr motor @14.7psi. thats with a ebay boost controller which wouldnt boost anymore then that. now that i have the aem true boost. i plan on tuning it again to 19 to 20psi to see where i am at. but at 14.7 psi. the car already feels good and could pull a lot of v8 on the street.

here is the link to my built.

i will go with pro1's if i was using a big turbo making over 600hp....

in your case even stock gsr cams will work but itr/ctr will be the best bang for your buck and will make a pretty nice increase over the gsr's

or you can try some stage 1 or even stage 2 tuner skunk 2 cams or even crower... nothing bigger then a stage 2....

Gsr cams + good turbo manifold + pulsar/garrett g30-770 + .63 a/r turbine housing will do the trick.
With Stock sleeves i would run also a cheap water/meth kit for the high boost so you will be safer with 93.
If no water meth go with g35-900 .82. Pte 6262 is very old(and dont forget the jbearign problems..) and their gen2 turbos are super expensive.
Garrett or pulsar will do the trick.
HPT turbos are also very very good bang for the buck. 5562 .63 looks like a perfect combo and it will hit 450 with very low back pressure and decent spool.
Generally new tech turbo + cheap cams in my opinion is better from expensive cams and old tech turbo combination.
