Easy EG swap question - did search
I have acquired a B18B Ls engine to swap into my EG the thing is that the ECU for the B18 is OBD2, What do I need to do to make this work in my EG. Do I need to convert it to OBD1 and buy a new ECU or is there an easier way?
Best bet would be to just buy the OBD1 LS ECU (P75 I think it is...) and use that. Or, you can possibly find an OBD1-OBD2 ECU jumper and use that, but that will be the same price as buying the OBD1 ECU, not to mention OBD1 is a lot better for chipping if you ever decide to do that.
If you plan on staying stock LS, then your options have already been mentioned.
But, if you plan on going LS/VTEC or getting cam work, then you might just keep your stock ECU and get that chipped for your setup.
You didn't say what trim level you have, but I believe you'd want a P28 (EX,SI) ECU if you decide to chip.
Just wanted to let you know of another option.
