Idle problem?!?!

Default Idle problem?!?!

own a 94 civic ex, when i turn on my vehicle, it idles roughly...its not the cold start, but worst..in mornings and late-afternoon... goes up to approx. 1,400rpm to dead 600rpm none stop until its normally warm.. cleaned my throttle, i believe the IAC sensor is going out...

any suggestion?

While it's doing that, unplugg IAC and see what happens. If your idle is surging, then it should stop.

I own a 92 accord and it idles really low almost to a stall I adjusted the distributor cap and this worked for a little bit but then it stared all over. again any ideals?

You might have a small vacuum leak too.

Have you tried cleaning your FITV as well? The FITV runs until the car is at operating temp, and thats when the IACV takes over. I just cleaned mine yesterday after looking like its never been touched since new. same with my IACV last weekend.

im sorry you guys, my motor is shot... cracked my case last thursday miserably..

checked most of my vacuum hoses, and they all seem fine without no tears or rips. If i could find another d16z6 just the case, ill give it a try on my IAC sensor and see...

another question is how would you clean the IAC sensor? pulled mine off and it has two tunnels and one with a screen, wasn't sure how to clean it?

Does anyone knoe where the iac hoses go ??? i know one goes in to the block under neath the intake mani but where doe the other one go to ??????
