okay have a 93 bubble dx version and i swapped in a single vtec motor and used my old harness which is a non v harness and it wont start....motor wont even turn over....that harness doesnt have a map sesnor plug but i dont think that should stop it from turning on and also its a non v ecu it should still turn on but throw codes till i can rewire the vtec..... could that starter be bad

ur missing something...check all connection on shock tower, by the battery, driver side shock tower

check all grounds, trans to frame, valve cover to radiator support, n thermostat

 

Lololololol. First off, bubbles are round and clear. Your Civic hatch is neither.
Second, "wont start" is used to often. Will it turn over and not start? Or is the starter not operating?
Third, you DO have a MAP sensor plug. If it doesn't it's either been cut-off or plug up in the wrong spot.
Lastly, check your connections and grounds.
