Not too big. Even if you went with a larger diameter it would be OK.

I just want to ditch my nasty non resonated 2.5" piping to usdm itr can sounds like crap & its bottle necked I want performance & dont want to attract 5.0 either idk dudes selling a 2.75 greddy for $275 but its a straight through muffler like n1 prob super loud considering a vibrant 2.5 with fresh piping & resonator(s) idk how much performance they will hurt though hopefully just noise reduction

get a moroso spiral flow muffler as a resonator and u will love that and it doesn't hurt ur performance and nice good deep tone and it's suppose to help u exhuast to speed up the flow i have it on my h23vtec setup 3inch's all the way with spiral flow muffler and a 3inch in and out muffler it's kinda like a flow master slanted no chamber 3inch's in and out.

Good lookin out still think I may get the vibrant along with spiral flow due to low-key-ness might I ask what muffler u running ?

till the moroso welds break and it causes a huge restriction.

3 inch piping, vibrant streett power, your choice of longer resonator.

i have a vibrant ultra quiet and its not that quiet, i may add another resonator.

you'll be hard pressed to find a muffler with 2.75" piping. but what killerpenguin said. or a streetpower stealth. the already flat black of it is nice.

you may want to try using two mufflers. there is one you may want to look into and that would be the hushpower pro muffler made by flowmaster. i have not heard it myself on any hondas but its suppose to be a quiet muffler. maybe that used with the combination of a vibrant muffler and long resonator will tone it down all the while keeping some performance.

VRS for piping. I'd go with a 23in long res. and a vibrant muffler. and if its still to much add in another 12-16in res.

even with what i recommended the car would still retain a deep sound. just not raspy. the longer the resonator, the better it is for sound suppression. and it would not be anywhere near as quiet as a factory exhaust system. if you really wanted to make your car quiet a catalytic converter would be your best bet but obviously it would hurt performance. i would say try out a 3 inch exhaust with either two resonators or a long resonator with one larger muffler (like the flat black vibrant) and a bottled type muffler. you should definitely go through VRS exhaust like 1.5slowmatic suggested if you would like to save some money on your piping. i think the jakes would still take notice of your car with a deep tone, i mean, after all this is california

I have a 3 inch exhaust with a long resonator and a flat black vibrant muffler and the setup is very deep and quite loud under WOT. there is also a catalytic in there too. Everyone tells me I have one of the nicest sounding 4 bangers around.
basically anything past the collector on the header is just a restriction going big isn't going to hurt power.

Lets see some pics isnt anything above 2.5" overkill for an all motor set-up ?

Hytech makes custom stainless twin loop mufflers from 2.25-3.0 and are very highend. Have the mugen sound with the power of a big exhaust that you need with no bottle necks.

Honestly it sounds great!

The muffler alone costs a bit over 300bucks
