b16 clunkng noise when driving?? stops when i enagage the clutch help!!!!!!!
i recently started hearing rotating clunking noise which seems to be coming from the tranny and can be felt through the axles ,I got under the car and saw that the boots of the axles were torn and leaking grease. i replaced both of the axles , filled the tranny up with fluid but the car still makes a spinning clunking noise when i accelerate i can feel it through the shifter. , feels like someone hitting the shift linkage with a hammer while i am driving .clutch seems fine and transmission shifts into all gears but the noise will get louder as the speed increases. even when the car is in neutral and not being accelerated the clinking goes away i have checked everything i possibly could and cant find the problem .
