Default ITR Swap basics

i have a ef converted to obd1 just put a itr motor and it semms lacking and idles like crap but the mil isnt on. i previously had a b20b in it and it ran like a chammp. Took the itr around the block vtec worked fine no cel but seemed like everytime i got on it it got slower. the car has no muffler straight exhaust and it sounds funky at idle like its has an ongoing small miss. No knocks or odd sounds coming from motor.

Here is my setup
96 itr motor cable trans
obd1 pr4 converted to vtec with itr basemaps
obd1 d16 vtec injectors
obd2 itr dizzy with what i am assuming is a obd2 to obd1 or 0 jumper
no resistor box
obd1 d16 vtec solenoid
gsr spak plugs

BUT i did replace the head gasket with an oem. head sits good and doesnt leak timing is dead on. will do a compression test tomorrow.

?????????
is everything right???????

D series and b series vtec solenoids are different. Swap in one from a b16 or gsr, I believe itr ones do not use a vtec oil pressure switch. Your problem could also be there.

I also suggest you find out what distributor you are running. What is the stamping number?

b16 trans put a diff solenoid on made a small diff still idles like pooop.
. Should i try using the itr injectors and pigtails? The dizzy is the original 97 spec. Anybody? could my iacv be going bad? This one has got me stumped car almost sounds like it is missfiring at idle. drove the car like i said took it to 8000rpm no hesitation or missfires or cel?????? couldnt do a compression test gauge was broken.did a leak down test on the head before i put the motor in. all valves seated no leaks.

i would personally either run a chip p28 or p72 for this set up
and run an obd1 dizzy, you could try checking your tps sensor wire too..the two outer wires could have been swapped around. and what type if intake manifold is that? dont look like the oem type r one.

the obd2 obd1 dizzys have diffrent resistor values and signal input and outputs which is why u have to run obd1 cause that was the only setup that u are able to fully minipulate the ecu and other engine functions u can do obd0 with b16's and other oldskool motors if u have a zdyne ecu like u do obd2 have set values which is why if u try to tune obd2 it just pretty much corrects it self to stock or just runs like poo poo

what you're saying there barely even qualifies as a coherent sentence.

secondly, you're just plain wrong. look it up, i'm not doing the work for you.
