what year transmisson
ok i bough a auto trans for my 00 civic but when i looked at the one in my car it was exactly the same but there was a spring on the side where there was suppost to be a celanoid.i know this was for a line there to shift it and now i know my trans is electrically shifted...so what i wanna know is what year will this tranny fit so i can get rid of it or how hard would it be to convert it so it would work on my car or is it not worth it?
Okay. Is your car Automatic? If so then it sounds to me like you bought a Manual transmission. Right? So i imagine for it to work to gotta do a Auto to 5 speed swap. Which imo on a D-series is not worth it. But to answer your question Technically it should bolt to any 96'-00' Civic EX/DX/LX/CX that has a D-series engine, And 96'-97' Del sol S should be the same. I believe.....
Its out of a '95 civic, it will fit all '92 - '95 Civics with an automatic ('92 - '94 civics came with an M24A but the A24A is completely compatible) you need a '96 - '00 transmission.
